Convention on Rights of Child : 1989
Emphasises the importance of the family and the need to create an environment that is conducive to healthy growth and development of the child. It obligates the state to ensure that children get a fair and equitable deal in society.
It draws attention to four sets of civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights:
Right to Survival , life, protection and social security
Participation, Development, Education and Adequate standard of living
Name and Nationality
Highest attainable standard of health & Nutrition
Access appropriate information
Protection in case of armed conflict or emergency for the disabled children
Support for early childhood care and development
Leisure, recreation & cultural activities
Respect views of child
Freedom of expression, thought, conscience & religion
Freedom from exploitation, neglect, abuse and degrading treatment

International Labour Organization ( ILO ) sets minimum age of 18 for employing hazardous jobs : 1973

Child Rights International Network ( CRIN ) formed : 1991
Right to care and education upto the age of 6
Right to free and compulsory education between 6-14 years of age
Right to protection from being trafficked or forced bonded labour
Right against any hazardeous employment upto the age of 14
Right to protection against forced occupation not suitable to their age due to their economic necessity, and right to protection of childhood.
